Ararat- There is to be a prohibition meeting at Thompson, Feb. 14. St. John will be present. Everybody come.


Jackson - Saturday afternoon last, the slaughterhouse of W.H. Larrabee, of North Jackson, took fire and was destroyed. Mr. Larrabee will, we understand, rebuild at once.


Montrose- Beach, Brown and Company, proprietors of the Susquehanna County Agricultural Works, Montrose, now offer for sale Strait’s Patent Reversible Sulky Plow. The Decker Machine Company of Montrose filled an order for "Decker’s Liniment" received from a druggist in Iowa last week. Wherever introduced, this excellent remedy, used externally and internally for man and beast, takes the lead.


Susquehanna - A new orchestra has been organized in this place. It is composed of the following well-known musicians: Prof. H.S. Warner and O.H. Simmons, violins; Frank Terhune, coronet; V. Blackburn, flute; Joseph Seddon, clarinet: Mrs. Joseph Seddon, piano. Artificial teeth are advertised in the Tri-Weekly Journal, Susquehanna. Full plates on rubber base, $5.
