The Gibson Cornet Band frequently played at Harford during the mid-century fairs. They made the trip to the fair in their famous band wagon drawn by two teams of horses. Many mentions were made regarding the band's activities in local newspapers, especially for the prominent role in Gibson's centennial celebration and as entertainment during family reunions, parades, and political rallies.
